If you are 18 years old and above and would like to live in planet Mars, Mars One, a Dutch company, is accepting applicants for a one-way space travel to Mars. Application fee is $38 and would fund the mission. As of August 15, more than 100,000 have already applied. Forty astronauts will be selected and will start their eight years of training.

Departure is scheduled on 2022, arriving on the Red Planet on 2023. This mission would consist of 2 men and 2 women. The Mars One founder is convinced of the viability of this mission in spite of the risks of space travel and exposure to radiation as well as solar particles. Aside from Mars One, another group, the Inspiration Mars Foundation is also planning on a 501-day round trip to Mars with 1 man and 1 woman in 2018 but without landing.
